Télémir system control sets

Test set
Optical cap and cords in the storage set

Operational on board the Charles de Gaulle aircraft carrier, these sets control the Télémir transmission system embedded on Rafale fighter (Dassault Aviation) and identifies possible failures.

The infra-red Télémir system allows the aircraft carrier to transmit information to the aircraft before it takes off. The Télémir system is composed of:

  • a processing box,
  • an optical head,
  • a connection cord.

The 2 sets are airborne transportable and provide the following functions:

  • Test set: simulate the electric signals of the optical head to test the processing box, control of the integrity of the optical head electric signals, command the optical cap on the optical head in order to check the aircraft Télémir system globally,
  • Storage set: allows to store the various interconnection and electric cables, such as the optical cap.

Main features:

  • Single-phase power supply 115Vac 400Hz or 230Vac 50Hz, on workshop supply or on aicraft's,
  • Use on flight deck or hangar,
  • Operating temperature -20 to +70°C,
  • Storage temperature -30 to +70°C,
  • Qualification GAM EG13-C.

Electromechanical relay test bench

Test bench

This relay test bench allows to measure the characteristics of the electromechanical relays at production ends. The duration of the test is maximum 10s in the most unfavorable case (6 NO/NC AC Relay).

The characteristics of the tested relays are:

  • Mono or bi stable, 1 or 2 coils,
  • DC power supply up to 300Vdc, or AC power supply up to 300Vac 50Hz/400Hz,
  • 1 to 6 normally-closed contacts, normally-opened contacts or on/off contacts.

The tests carried out on the relays are:

  • DC relay coil: measurement of the coil resistance,
  • AC relay coil: measurement of the RMS current,
  • measurement of the operate time with bounce time of the normally-open contacts,
  • measurement of the release time with bounce time of the normally-closed contacts
  • measurement of operate voltage,
  • measurement of release voltage,
  • measurement of normally-closed and normally-opened contacts impedance of each contact under nominal load current.

The test bench includes a data base which allows the user to configure the characteristics of the relay and the tests to be applied.

Tribombe Adapter control sets

Test sets connected to tribomb adapter

These sets are used to test the tribombe adapter (Rafaut) onboard the Rafale Aircraft (Dassault Aviation) before the adapter is charged with the bombs.

The 2 sets are airborne transportable and provide:

  • Test set: include the central processing unit, the switching interfaces, the measurement interfaces and the MIL-STD-1553 communication interfaces,
  • Power supply set: power supplies the test set and allows various interconnection and electric cables storage.

Main characteristics:

  • Three-phase power supply 200Vac 400Hz on workshop or field power supply,
  • Rugged central processing unit with Microsoft Windows XP Pro operating system,
  • Operating temperature -10 to +50°C,
  • Storage temperature -30 to +70°C,
  • Qualification MIL-STD-461E.

FLIR pod test bench

FLIR pod test bench
Infrared image test

This test bench allows NTI2 maintenance of FLIR RUBY 1 pod integrated on Mirage F1CR (Dassault Aviation). It performs the tests allowing to confirm, in workshop, a correct operation of the pod, by exploiting the pod’s internal maintenance system. It allows also to confirm and identify a failure.

Features of the bench:

  • central processing unit (PC type),
  • 115V AC 400Hz nominal three-phase power supply,
  • 28V DC nominal power supply,
  • Digibus communication Manager, integrated into the CPU, which dialogues with the processor unit of the pod,
  • video acquisition of the  pod’s infra-red images,
  • etc…

The test bench includes an integrated selftest to check the operation integrity.
